Shenseea's Catalyst EP lands Friday, with Vybz Kartel and Asake on “board”
Eight tracks and her first project since joining Since '93/Columbia. Kingston meets Lagos on this one.
Shenseea has a new project out this Friday. Catalyst, an eight-track EP, arrives November 6. It's her first release since signing with Since '93/Columbia late last year.
There are three guests. Vybz Kartel is on "Talk To Me Nuh", the Rvssian-produced single that has had a video out since March. Asake, Nigeria's Afrobeats star, joins her on "Playtime", and rising rapper Loe Shimmy is on "Private". She handles "Vulnerability", "Danger", "Garden", "Body Language" and "2 Face Gyal" by herself.

She and Kartel go back a long way. Their first duet, "Loodi", came out in 2016 and helped make her name, and they teamed up again in February on "Panic". Her last album, 2024's Never Gets Late Here, was nominated for a Grammy.
Putting Asake and Kartel on the same EP says a lot about how close dancehall and Afrobeats have become. Which collab are you pressing play on first?
