Johnny Gill is back at No. 1 on Adult R&B radio with “A Dance, A Kiss”
The Snoop Dogg-produced slow jam climbs 3–1 in its 21st week, ending Tank's three-week run at the top. That's two Adult R&B chart-toppers for Gill in 2026.
Grown folks' radio has spoken. Johnny Gill's "A Dance, A Kiss" is the new No. 1 on Billboard's Adult R&B Airplay chart, climbing from 3 to 1 on the chart dated November 7.
This one took its time. The single entered at No. 30 in June and has been building ever since. It reaches the top in its 21st week, ending Tank's three-week reign with "YES", which slips to No. 6.
Gill released the song on May 22, his 60th birthday. Snoop Dogg and Soopafly produced it, and both co-wrote it with Gill and Justin Randall Keitt. It's out on his own JSkillz label.

It's his second Adult R&B chart-topper this year: "One Night" got there in February. Rated R&B counted that as his fourth No. 1 on the chart, so this makes five. Not bad for a man whose last solo album, Game Changer II, came out in 2019.
The rest of the top five is strong too. Jill Scott's "Don't Play" sits at No. 2, Muni Long's "Richest" at No. 3 and Tems' "What You Need" at No. 4. Lucky Daye's "Nowhere Fast" reaches a new high at No. 5.
